Arthur is the founder and CEO of Black Slate. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, which he attended with a full scholarship. Prior to founding Black Slate, he worked with numerous test prep companies in New York City and Los Angeles. His past clients include actors, screenwriters, and heads of television studios. Arthur has a decade of combined tutoring and college counseling experience. He has worked with students ranging in age from 11 to 25. Last year his students were admitted to Harvard, Penn, UCLA, USC, Princeton, Duke, Georgetown, Brown, Cornell, Columbia, NYU, Vanderbilt, the United States Military Academy at Westpoint, and the United States Naval Academy.

Arthur is an expert at preparing students for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, SHSAT, and college counseling. 

Arthur built Black Slate with one overarching principle: rise. He believes that any student can rise up to overcome any challenge.

 

Natalia is the director of Black Slate. She is a master tutor and essay editor, and  is a Yale University graduate who was accepted at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. Her students have gone to attend Yale, Princeton, Brown, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Emory, NYU, Carnegie Mellon, and Tufts. She began tutoring while a student at Yale, and has years of experience in helping students craft their essays and preparing them for the SAT and ACT.
